call for computers
I would like to know if anyone who reads this has, or knows of, cheap laptops for sale. There are a large number of people (teachers, directors, administrators) in our town who would really like a computer, and a used laptop would be perfect. If you have any info, please email me. Eli will be coming back to the US in July and could then bring computers back to Moz. We're looking for $100-200 laptops.
Also, just an FYI, we're in Maputo for a week long HIV/AIDS conference, so should have some internet access.

There's this website that a colleague of mine sent out a couple months ago. There are two ways to give:
Give a Laptop
It's $200 to donate a laptop, but you can't designate where it's sent.
Give Many
If you want to give to a certain location, it's $299 a laptop, and you have to order 100 laptops or more.
Not sure if this is a viable solution or not. I put a few more feelers out, so I'll see what else I can come up with!

Hello- I came upon your website while researching something else related to Moz. Books For Africa ships sea containers of donated English text and library books throughout the African continent. Our warehouse is in St Paul, MN. We source Pentium 3 desktops for $100 each and laptops for $200 each, with a 10% discount if you order 2 or more. We include them in our sea container shipments, but if you are in the States in July, you could plan ahead and acquire them from our warehouse to transport back.
